Yvonne T. Reyes, LCSW

I have been in the mental health field for over 15 years. I have worked in various mental health settings including schools, health offices, home, and community. My many years of experience have allowed me to strengthen my clinical skills and develop my clinical expertise in helping you to achieve your unique goals. I continue to educate myself on the most up-to-date clinical research and implement an evidence based clinical approach. Some of these evidence-based models include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness practice and much more. I have provided clinical care to countless individuals and families, helping them to achieve their mental health goals. In addition, I have provided couples therapy, group therapy and crisis resolution services to clients of all ages.

I hold a bachelor's degree in social work from California State University, Long Beach, and a master’s degree in social work from the University of Southern California (USC). I also hold a License in Clinical Social Work. I have dedicated my professional career to helping others just like you improve your overall psychological, emotional, and physical well-being.

In treatment, I can help you to process your thoughts and feelings, increase positive coping skills, and support you in breaking free from negative thoughts or behavior patterns. I take an individualistic approach by collaboratively creating treatment goals with you to meet your specific needs. I can help you increase your self-worth, work though depression, ease anxiety, assist with life transitions, and improve interpersonal relationships. My expertise can also assist you in processing past childhood traumas and working through the bereavement process (grief and loss). I provide a safe and non-judgmental space for you to feel comfortable and confident in working toward your desired change.

It brings me great joy to be part of your healing journey and to create with you a life changing therapeutic relationship. I have seen clients struggle and come out on the other end happier and empowered over their lives. To see if my style and approach is the right fit for you call for a free 15 min consultation.

What is Psychotherapy?

Psychotherapy (talk therapy) can be used to help a person change behavior, increase happiness, and overcome problems. It aims to improve an individual's well-being and mental health, to resolve or mitigate troublesome behaviors, beliefs, urges, thoughts, or emotions, and to improve relationships and social skills.

Depression & Anxiety

Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience in our lives. Through therapy and treatment, we are able to help you recover motivation, perspective, and the joy that you once had in your life.

Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic experiences. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger. We can help you overcome these symptoms and guide you through the process of grief and healing.

Therapy can be beneficial to couples who are looking to strengthen their emotional connection, in all stages of their relationship. Couples therapy can help disarm conflicting verbal communications, increase intimacy, respect, and affection; remove barriers that create a feeling of stagnancy, and create a heightened sense of empathy and understanding within the context of the relationship.

Life Transitions

Relationship stress

You experience more stress than normal in response to a stressful or unexpected event, and the stress causes significant problems in all areas of your life. You don't have to tough it out on your own, though. Therapy can be brief and it's likely to help you regain your emotional footing.
